    Michael K Spayd Jr, Founder, Principal

    Michael Spayd has been a pioneer thought leader in organizational and personal transformation for more than 25 years. In the last few years, Michael’s focus has evolved to more closely align with his own internal compass, which at heart might be summed up by the term corporate mystic.

    For many years he studied embodied systemic mapping — both teaching it and practicing it — and it has now become his major focus. He has been teaching and articulating a new field based on systemic constellations, HSD complexity theory, and an ordinary shamanic worldview — that he calls Systemic Alchemy. This is a major shift into the unseen forces at work in systems of all kinds from families to businesses to societies.

    Michael is renowned as a transformational teacher and leader, with a near-magic ability to facilitate deeply compelling and transformational learning environments.

    Michael’s life work has been prolific, having first co-founded the Agile Coaching Institute, then founding Trans4mation and most recently The Collective Edge in 2020. He has taught, coached and mentored many thousand coaches & transformational leaders. He is the originator and co-author of a highly anticipated book called Agile Transformation, bringing the Integral approach to a mainstream audience.

    Origins of Integral Sensemaking & Adaptive Action

    Spayd’s book first applied Integral metatheory to organizational transformations. Since it's publication, Spayd and collaborators (Randolf Speigner & Glenda Eoyang) have developed the Integral Sensemaking & Adaptive Action method for working with such transformations, helping transformational leaders become instruments of change. The next task is to integrate the deep understanding of systemic alchemy.

    Randolf Speigner

    In his commitment to human transformation, Randolf co-founded cogrow.space, after two decades of working with leaders, teams and business units in global enterprises, to bring a different voice to enterprise transformation work. As a global citizen, he collaborates with thought leaders in human transformation.

    Randolf takes great satisfaction in offering his guidance to practitioners as they realize their full potential and capacity in regenerative transformation. He is committed to design and lead cohorts for teams of leaders and change agents to enable effective change in their organizations.

    Randolf was a participant in the first ICE-EC cohort, and is happy to be a member of The Collective Edge teaching team.

  • Glenda Eoyang -- Pattern Partners

    Glenda Eoyang

    Dr. Glenda Eoyang works with public and private organizations to help them thrive in the face of overwhelming complexity and uncertainty. She is a pioneer in the field of human systems dynamics (HSD), which she founded. Through Human Systems Dynamic Institute, Glenda uses her Models and Methods to help others see patterns in the chaos that surrounds them, understand the patterns in simple and powerful ways, and take practical steps to shift chaos into order.

    Glenda’s latest book, with co-author Royce Holladay, is Adaptive Action: Leveraging Uncertainty in Your Organization (Stanford University Press, April 2013).

    Marie Murtagh

    Marie Murtagh joined The Collective Edge in 2021 and became a guiding force in acquiring new teachers and voices, starting a series of Clinics, bringing in Nish Dubashia and became a critical partner to Spayd.

    Marie left TCE in 2024 and is currently working with Nish on a book, The Enlightenment Delusion: Rethinking Spiritual Awakening

    Marie’s lifelong cause outside of work is caring for, protecting, and nurturing animals, reminding us all that we, too, are animals.

  • Michael Hamman

    Hamman was instrumental in launching the Integral Sensemaking & Action curriculum with Spayd in 2020, and helping to define it’s place in the world of organizational coaching.

    Hamman has gone on to found The Vertical Facilitation Academy and teaching from his book, Evolvagility.

  • Lyssa Adkins

    Lyssa was Spayd’s original business partner in founding and operating the Agile Coaching Institute, so was a prime candidate to help start The Collective Edge with Spayd and Hamman. Lyssa was Spayd’s co-leader in weekly community grounding calls that provided a regular group grounding and sanity during the pandemic, from March 2020 to March 2021.

  • Nish Dubashia

    Nish Dubashia is a British writer and Integral thinker. He is the creator of the Diamond Model (drawing on Bohmian physics, Integral Theory & Eastern philosophy to depict fundamental patterns) and taught this model and the Human Diamond for The Collective Edge, bringing new ways of thinking into TCE.

    Nish is the author of four books, most recently: A Brief History of God: From Nature Spirits to Cosmic Consciousness. Nish is currently coauthoring The Enlightenment Delusion with Marie Murtagh.
